Today was a day like any other.... well... if those days were all busy little bees filled to the butthole with honey of tense christmas shoppers, coffee grind, cakes, whipped cream and grinder malfunctioning, ahhhh... I just love the smell of spent nerves in the evening! :D

OOOH! and dont forget broken glasses ;)

speaking of which... I was working today and I felt this tiny little prick in the sole of my foot... thinking it might be a shard of glass I didn't really want to walk alot on it thus letting it sink in and cause a nasty little infectious party of dirt and germs, so I headed for the staff toilet where I would sit down and try to pry it from my skin. YEGADS! When I checked out my foot it was no shard of glass... but a human hair! A human hair was about half a centemeter into the skin of my foot! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!!! Surely the molecular density of the human hide must provide enough protection so that a pliable object like HUMAN HAIR canNOT sink into it?!

Then again I am no physician....

Weirder still.... I got a tip today... a big one.... 1000 kr..... it was more than the lady paid for her purchase.... I was getting her order, some croissants and coffee or such, the whole time she was complaning (in a very innocent "I don't mean no offence" happy kind of way) about how our company had gone downhill in our pastry department and I of course took offence, but did a very good job of hiding my annoiance, kept a smile on my face and announced the amount of money she would have to pay to recieve her "low quality" pastries and coffee, which was about 700+ kr. She inadvertently handed me 2000 kr. I handed her 1000 kr. with a polite laugh and said "sorry but you gave me 1000 kr. more than you had too, allthough if you ment to tip me that would have been quite allright" (note: it's not a custom in iceland to tip, its just not done... it's not rude or anything to do so but it's higly irregular) then she laughed and I laughed and then out of the blue she said "you know what? I will" O_O and she handed me the thousand krown and I was FLABBERGHASTED! I did give it away to a charity for paraplegics... it just didn't feel right to take it... BUT THINK ABOUT IT! She muct have been high as a kite! LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS! LÆK TÓTALLÍ!

You know, the internet is a very good activity for killing time, the hour I was trying to assassinate has been laid to rest alot faster than I had anticipated. Soon a few people of that happy bunch I invited to come over and watch the nightmare before christmas with will arrive and the festivities can begin! :D
